Elementary School Sports
Physical Education (PE) is an important component of a well-rounded education for students of all ages. PE is taught to all our elementary classes in order to provide students with knowledge, and the enthusiasm to maintain a healthy lifestyle into adulthood. Activities included in the program are designed to promote physical fitness, to instill knowledge and understanding of rules, concepts, and strategies. Students learn to work both as individuals and in a wide variety of competitive group sports. Students learn that they can glorify God by developing strong, healthy bodies and good sportsmanship. In addition to PE, elementary students also have the opportunity to participate in some extra-curricular sports and activities.
Girls Volleyball
During the 4th quarter, elementary girls in grades 2-5 have the opportunity to practice and play volleyball. Classes meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students learn fundamental volleyball skills including offensive and defensive skills, serving, passing, spiking, digging, setting, ball control, transitioning, and how to be a team player. Students can practice one day, two days, or three days per week.
Basketball

Students learn fundamental basketball skills including offensive skills, ball-handling, rebounding techniques, fast-break drills, 3-point shooting, and defensive skills.
